Glass balustrades that disappear into the view.

Ten-millimetre toughened safety glass, satin-stainless framing or post-mounted clamps. The clean view that turns a back garden deck into a viewing terrace.

Every glass balustrades job, the same standard.

No corner-cutting on the substructure, no mystery on the materials, no surprise costs at the end. Here's exactly what you get when Legacy quotes for the work.

LD/01
10mm Toughened Glass

Cut to size, polished edges, BS 6206 certified. Shatters into harmless cubes if struck hard enough. Nothing else even comes close.

LD/02
Frameless Channel

A single aluminium channel set into the deck holds the glass with no top rail or posts. The cleanest possible look.

LD/03
Post and Clamp

Satin-stainless posts at 1.2m centres, glass held by polished spigots. Cheaper than frameless and far stronger.

LD/04
With Or Without Top Rail

Top handrail in matching stainless if you want something to grip when carrying drinks down the steps. Optional.

LD/05
Build-Reg Compliant

Where balustrade is needed by law (any deck above 600mm) we install to current building regulations. Paperwork supplied.

LD/06
Cleaning & Care

Glass cleaner, microfibre cloth, twice a year. The stainless wipes down with WD-40 if it spots up by the coast.

Glass Balustrades, answered.

Will the glass break?
It is designed not to. Ten-millimetre toughened safety glass is roughly five times stronger than ordinary float glass and shatters into harmless cubes if it ever does fail.
Frameless or posts — which looks better?
Frameless looks cleanest, especially over a view. Posts look fine and cost roughly half. We bring samples on the site visit so you can compare in your own light.
Is glass balustrade legal at any height?
Building regs require balustrade on any deck higher than 600mm above ground. Our glass systems are tested and certified to meet the load requirements.
Can you fit glass to an existing deck?
Usually yes. We need to check the joist spacing under the perimeter board to make sure the fixings hold properly. Inspection is included in the quote.
